Technology

The technology stack behind distributed defense.

MeshDefense™ is built end-to-end — from sensors, mesh network, Edge AI, software to interceptors. We design the nodes, write the inference kernels, train the models, and ship the operator software and hardware as one integrated platform.

Obriy RF detector field kit — display unit and handheld scanner
Obriy · Field Kit

Developed by Kara Dag Technologies, the system features 30 MHz–6 GHz wideband RF front-ends with direction finding capabilities designed to detect, classify, and localize drone control and video links across dense spectrum environments, including simultaneous emitters.

The platform delivers ultra-fast all-band spectrum scanning capable of capturing and processing most RF drone-related signals in real time, with detection ranges of up to 10 km depending on environment, antenna configuration, and drone transmission profile.

Tested against thousands of drones in real-world combat conditions on the Ukraine war front lines, the platform is fully passive, lightweight, portable, and optimized for deployment by mobile units and critical infrastructure operators.

Built through more than three years of intensive R&D, the solution incorporates proprietary state-of-the-art RF spectrum analytics and detection architecture, including advanced noise calibration, dark mode operation, and passive low-signature operation that remains undetectable to enemy electronic intelligence systems.

DATA AND TRAINING.

Frontline data collection rig — portable RF capture unit deployed at the front line
Frontline Data Collection Rig

Kara Dag Technologies has developed and continues to expand one of the world's largest datasets of drone RF signatures, combining both open-source datasets and proprietary battlefield-collected data. Using specialized portable RF collection rigs deployed directly at frontline environments, Kara Dag captures and analyzes real-world signatures from thousands of drones operating in highly contested spectrum conditions. These datasets include a wide range of FPV drones, commercial UAVs, autonomous systems, control links, telemetry channels, and evolving battlefield modifications. The company's continuously growing RF intelligence database forms the foundation for advanced AI-driven spectrum analytics, real-time drone classification, anomaly detection, and next-generation autonomous defense systems. By collecting data under real operational conditions rather than laboratory simulations alone, Kara Dag Technologies is building a unique RF knowledge base designed for the emerging era of Physical AI and autonomous infrastructure defense.

Kara Dag Technologies has a partnership with Anduril Industries focused on the collection, processing, and classification of battlefield RF spectrum data for next-generation autonomous defense systems. The collaboration combines Kara Dag's frontline RF data collection infrastructure and extensive drone signature datasets — gathered from real combat environments — with Anduril's advanced AI, autonomy, and defense software capabilities. Together, the companies are working to accelerate the development of intelligent RF spectrum awareness, autonomous threat classification, distributed sensor fusion, and real-time tactical decision-making systems designed for highly contested modern battlefields and critical infrastructure protection.

Kara Dag Technologies also collects extensive audio and visual datasets of drone threats, including battlefield recordings of FPV drones, autonomous UAVs, reconnaissance platforms, and low-signature aerial systems operating in real-world conditions. These multimodal datasets are used to train advanced AI models capable of recognizing, tracking, and classifying threats through acoustic and visual signatures in real time. The company focuses on edge AI and local inference architectures, enabling threat detection and classification directly on distributed field devices without relying on cloud connectivity. By combining RF, audio, and visual intelligence into a unified AI-driven sensor fusion platform, Kara Dag Technologies is building next-generation autonomous defense capabilities for the emerging era of Physical AI and intelligent infrastructure protection.
